This item will only fit the Triumph models produced within the years stated, later cars (if applicable) had a different ignition switch arrangement usually located on the steering column. However its not unique to Triumph - its also fitted to Lucas key ignition switches like; S45, 47SA, 128SA, 110SA, 111SA, 149SA ... as well as many classic car door locks.
The keys have Lucas stamped on them and are unique to the barrel supplied. For reference, the OE Part No. is 24G1345.
With these replacements there is no need to replace the entire, more expensive ignition switch mechanism if the keys or barrel are missing or damaged. This barrel simply fits inside the existing ignition switch and will fit all cars fitted with its original Lucas dash mounted ignition switches.
Fitting Note: These switch barrels are removed by locating the hole on the side of the ignition switch and press the spring loaded brass plunger while using the key to pull out the barrel assembly.
